1-Dimensional Kinematics Introduction

Kinematics is the study of motion without considering its causes.

In everyday language, Acceleration means to speed up. The greater the acceleration, the greater the change in velocity over a given time. Average Acceleration is the rate at which velocity changes.

The formula for Average Acceleration is average acceleration equals velocity divided by time. Expanded, (final velocity minus the initial velocity) divided by (final time minus initial time) equals acceleration.
